ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY
Joan Michaels Paque is a multimedia artist who has exhibited and taught internationally. She studied on scholarship at Layton School of Art and Marquette University from 1955 to 1957. A need for autonomy next led to independent research and experimentation. This experience found applications in both literary and visual art forms. Other involvement's include serving as juror and curator of exhibitions and on editorial and advisory boards. In addition, she lectures on the business aspects of art and writes regularly on the subject of art. This artist has exhibited and taught in Australia, Japan, Europe, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants. Joan Michaels Paque is currently giving lectures and workshops here and abroad and creating commissioned artworks.
