Fiber/Fabric Flexible Medium Series

Woven, Knotted and Rigidified
An integration of art and architecture are the intent of this series of bas-relief constructions. Incremental themes of expansion and compression are evident in the large scale, site specific commissioned pieces.

An on going interest and exploration of the sculptural potential of flexible materials and techniques provided incentive. Additionally, a fascination with the phenomenon of topology, the study of warped surfaces afforded opportunities for creative expression and resulted in the introduction of illusions. The ultimate goal was work that reflected simplicity and integrity.

These artworks represent the longest and largest of the different series and are found in notable collections here and abroad.
